Passengers of the Air Niugini Boeing 737 were in for a nasty surprise on Friday morning after the flight overshot the runway and landed in a lagoon. Passengers were reportedly forced to swim for their lives.
The Air Niugini Boeing 737 was attempting to land at Weno airport in Micronesia. However, the plane missed the runway and ended up half submerged in the Chuuk lagoon. Photos and videos of the aircraft's plight were posted on social media. The crew and passengers could be seen rescued in small boats as water covered most of the aircraft.
